UNILINK is a Red dot 2026 Winner!
UNILINK remote controller for forestry winches received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026 for outstanding design.
Red Dot marks the best designs all over the world. Annually, the best products, brands, and designs are applied to the Competition. This year, the jury distinguished our new UNILINK winch remote controller as a winner in the Product Design category.
Confirmed by the Red Dot Product Design Award
Every Uniforest product is developed with its user in mind. When we approached the development of the new remote controller UNILINK, several questions arose. Among them: "How do the foresters face challenges when skidding timber with a forestry winch? What are the biggest threats when working in the forest? Can we combine all functions that support safe, ergonomic, and efficient log manipulation and make them intuitive to command via a small gadget?"
All these and more questions were answered through a systematic, controlled development process supported by in-depth research into the needs of professional foresters worldwide. Taking all the insights into account, UNILINK was the result of a profound collaboration among Uniforest R&D team, product designer Ernest Bevc, and forestry winch remote controller producer Terra Funk.
UNILINK Product Design convinced the Red Dot Jury to honor it with special recognition:
The “Red Dot” is the award for high design quality. The international jury only awards this sought-after seal of quality to products that feature an outstanding design. The jury awarded it to: UNILINK (34-02111-2026PD)

What makes UNILINK so distinctive?
The first and foremost goal of UNILINK development was user friendliness. Thus, UNILINK Forestry Winch Remote enhances the safety and efficiency of operating forestry winches. Designed for smooth handling, it streamlines the log pulling process through refined ergonomics and a carefully considered interface.
The interface ensures mastery from the very first use. Thoughtful button placement combined with tactile cues enables “blind operation,” allowing experienced users to work instinctively without diverting their attention from their surroundings. High legibility in changing light and weather conditions ensures clarity at every glance, supporting fast and confident decision-making in demanding outdoor environments.
The housing merges function with identity. A protective frame shields the interface from accidental activation while allowing versatile carrying options. The remote can be used handheld or strapped in multiple ways, accommodating diverse working styles in the forest. Soft curves ensure lasting comfort against the body in various positions, from standing to crouching or leaning. All of this is wrapped in a clear, purposeful form language that elevates the Uniforest identity.

We highly appreciate the recognition of the Red Dot Jury and are beyond excited by our achievement. We are grateful to all who took part in the development and production of the UNILINK. Thanks to their work, our single-drum Profi winches are now operated by the Red Dot Award-winning remote controller.
