The Skyline system enables professional log skidding with minimal impact on the undergrowth. With the Uniforest Cobra 600-30U, you can transport timber up to 600 metres.

About the machine

Skyline system enables automated carriage travel. The user easily sets and saves any lower / upper end station and intermediate support positions. This way, the carriage's speed automatically slows down or stops both when descending and pulling, as well as when passing intermediate supports.

A sound signal informs the operator of the arrival of the carriage. The working area of the tower is 220° (110° left or right).

Tower 600-30U

Tower 600-30U

The tower is stabilized by four remotely controlled support lines. Each support line has its hydraulic-driven drum with a 60-m-long and 16-mm-thick cable. 

The unwinding device ensures that the cable between the drum and the top of the tower remains tightened and makes unwinding easier. 

Drums of the load-bearing and towing line are powered by hydraulic motors with integrated brakes, and they are powered by an adjustable flow pump that allows variable speeds.

The low transport height, thanks to the Z-folding tower (3 m in transport position, 9.5 m in working position), improves mobility.

Synthetic mounting rope
Synthetic mounting rope

Mounting rope is used for easier transport of the wire rope and other utilities uphill. When making a loop, the operator mounts the mounting rope first to avoid carrying a long and heavy wire rope in difficult terrain.

LOGJET 30U Carriage

The U30 carriage, with a pulling force of 30 kN and a pulling rope length of 80 metres, can be used in:

  1. the universal system (3 ropes) or,
  2. the gravity system (2 ropes).
